Jingle All the Way
Perry Child Development Center hosted their annual Jingle Bell Walk Dec. 20. Children were decked out in Santa hats and reindeer antlers as they sang some of the holiday favorites including Frosty the Snowman and Up on the Housetop.

Man arraigned on open murder
Adonis Alexander Frye, 25, the suspect in the murder of Lionel James Campbell, Jr. in Ypsilanti Township last week, has been arraigned in Washtenaw County court. He is charged with one count of open murder, one count of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one county of use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

On Dec. 12, Ypsilanti police were called to Michigan Works at the corner of Harriet and South Hamilton streets in response to a report of an hysterical woman in the lobby. Police Beat
Ypsilanti police officers Zachary Allen and Bradley Compton were patrolling in the vicinity of East Michigan Avenue and Miles Street last Saturday when they observed a man walking eastbound. As they approached the man, they saw him throw a baggie onto the ground. The officers, who act as the neighborhood policing team for that area, retrieved the baggie, which was found to contain eight rocks of crack cocaine. The man was arrested.
